W:O:A 2025 tickets are going to sold-out and great names are coming

The world’s most famous metal festival, Wacken Open Air (WOA) 2024, which has recovered after the troubles caused by heavy rains last year, banged with a great strength. The event was crowned with an abundance of impressive performances, also surprising with the latest technologies and increasingly smoothly balanced action in a huge area. And yeah, a great benefit of Lithuanian band GRIEFGOD happened on Wacken Metal Battle stage. Finally, like a year ago surprising swarm of lights formed images and inscriptions in the sky after the performance of IRON MAIDEN, this year while the concerts were still going on, the announcement of WOA 2025 followed. Next year, the festival will be held from 30 July to 02 August.

Unbelievably, as many as 34 first bands playing next year were known immediately. Although this is just the beginning, fans of various metal styles already can look forward to meet their faves. Fans of good old heavy should be impressed by veterans ANGEL WITCH, EXHORDER, GRAVE DIGGER, SAXON, and Michael Schenker will be reminiscing about his years with the legendary UFO on the stage. Thrashers will enjoy with DESTRUCTION (there will definitely be more representatives of this genre). Death metal fans will be pleased with OBITUARY or DECAPITATED. Symphonic black metal maniacs will finally get Norway’s DIMMU BORGIR back in Wacken. Those who like lighter symphonic music will take a look to the performance of the Dutch WITHIN TEMPTATION. And if you miss Tarja Turunen with NIGHTWISH, you will have the opportunity to see her original duet with Marko Hietela. In the meantime, Olympic fans will be able to remember the French GOJIRA as they performed at the opening of the Paris 2024.

If someone already missed heavy cellos in the hands of the Finns APOCALYPTICA? Or maybe the discovery will be one of the latest manifestations of Swedish power metal band BROTHERS OF METAL, where as many as 8 musicians wearing ancient clothes are acting on the stage. On the other hand, you can be surprised by ancient medieval music played by SALTATIO MORTIS. Or maybe someone will miss the show of veterans CLAWFINGER, MACHINE HEAD, MINISTRY? Finally, metalcore fans will be treated to a performance by American AUGUST BURNS RED (just in time for August). It is worth waiting for the new “Wacken Metal Battle Lithuania” competition, where new winners will be revealed, who will conquer the big WOA stage!
