Biography:
ANTIGONË is a band formed in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 2000. By then the band's line-up consisted of four members: Milda (guitar), Dalia (bass guitar), Agnë (synthesizer, vocal), Rûta (vocal) and was meant to be a female-only band, although the drums were often played by male musicians. The band made a successful debut in 2002 at "Naujas Kraujas" (New Blood) festival where they had won the first place. The audience was swept along with the honest synthesis of symphonic and pagan metal, brutal female vocal duos and their young hexen charm.

In 2003 the band decided to move on from metal to more acoustic and folklore oriented material, and only 2 original members (Agnë and Rûta) were left in the band, and later joined by their long-time friend Gailë (keyboards). There has been no activity by the name of ANTIGONË since 2005, as each member lives in a different country now.
