Biography:
The prehistory of the band INQUISITOR can be traced back to the year 1999 when Pastorius together with Lord sought ways to unleash some dark desires. For years under the banner of INQUISITOR they sought kindred spirits until the day they found Andrius. It was the late spring of 2002 as their torches lit the inquisitional fire. The end of the summer then recalls the first compositions to be given life. These were the core of band’s work for the autumn and winter to come. The very first tasks were to bring ideas together, to enhance individual techniques and to begin searching for a more or less original sound. Not only every one had to get acquainted with teamwork, but also Andrius was making early steps in mastering the noise production and Lord immersed himself in studies of keyboarded drums.

Winter and the beginning of year 2003 witness some recording sessions and friends-to-friends shows. In the late spring the band was looking for opportunities to attend a real gig. That was the time when Falkarius as an artillerist was come up to. The following summer was dedicated to remaking songs with the new member while the second autumn of the band can be regarded as a preparation for entering the battlefield.

The first encounter took place in a pub during a meeting of J.R.R.Tolkien fans in the end of the same year. Without having a larger resonance the event was a nice chance to begin experiencing the stage. And at last two months later there came a real challenge – “Fresh Blood” – a contest of newcomers of Lithuanian metal stage. After quick-compiling a demo, the band was announced to be heard in the show. And for the first time the name INQUISITOR was heard really loud.

September opened a new page. The main event was a separation of roads: entering a crossroad in team of four, INQUISITOR went forward without Falkarius. This was mostly due to difference in attitude and malfunctions in the inquisitional machine. Nevertheless, with that the artillery was taken over by GarLoq, an old acquaintance of the band. The reinforcement was successful as the newcomer opened fire straight off. Finally, midwinter in 2004 witnesses the last but not least reinforcement as rifer Nyku joins the crew.

The upgraded team compiles an account of all previous years in a shape of a self-release demo CD “Prelude” in 2005 (summer-autumn recordings at SineLoco). The path winds forward.
